FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ's)
Yes, you can choose to list your reservation or not. If you list it and someone else books first, they can save their place in line for the same time as yours and book from there. If that person does not show up at all (or shows up late), your reservation will be canceled by DVC Rental Club staff, and you'll get a full refund of your payment!
You should also know that if someone books ahead of you but doesn't show up on your day, we'll still honor their booking even though it might be inconvenient for them because they got there first!
To qualify for the Home Resort Booking Premium, your reservation must be secured more than seven months before arrival. The Home Resort Booking Premium is $18.00 per point.
Sorry, you can't check availability yourself. Only DVC Rental Club members can check villa availability. This is a FREE service to all our guests whenever they submit an inquiry form.
Don't hassle. Our rental income calculator can estimate the cost and the number of points you'll need for each stay. Click here
Yes, it is possible; you can add a Disney Dining Plan to your reservation anytime up to 30 days in advance.
No, reservations are booked through the DVC Rental Club, so there are different rules for points expiry. Once booked, it cannot be changed or canceled for any reason; we suggest you check our cancellation policy by clicking here.
Create your account and visit the Listings page. You have 3 ways to make a reservation:
  • First check for an Existing Reservation that fits your needs
  • Submit a Custom Request and a member will claim your request and make a reservation for your family.
  • If you are currently a DVC Member, you can pay another member to transfer points from their DVC account to yours. This is ideal as it gives you the flexibility to book your own vacation and have control over the reservation.
As a member you have three ways to turn your unused points into cash:
  • Rent out an existing reservation you will not be using.
  • Claim a Custom Request from the listings page made by a renter and make a reservation per their request.
  • Transfer points from your current Use Year to another member.
First create an account and follow the instructions.
Once you have come to an agreement with the Members who claimed your request, your confirmation number will be printed on your agreement. You should add this number to your My Disney Experience account allowing you to verify that your reservation is valid. Please note that Disney does not provide a way to confirm online for stays at the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa.
Your ability to secure a reservation will depend on the resort you choose, the time of year, size of accommodations, room view and even the days of the week. It is always best to make plans as early as possible. See our suggested guideline page.
No, only Disney Vacation Club Members have access to Member Services online or on the phone. The Member you have contracted with will make your reservation and send you a confirmation number. If you have minor changes, such as adding another guest to your reservation, the member will do that for you.
Yes. You can check-in via your My Disney Experience account 60 days prior to your arrival date and make note of all special requests (room/view preference, celebrations etc.). Please note that Disney does not provide Online Check-in for the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa.
The purchase price of your reservation is guaranteed by the DVC Rental Club. However, because we are a third-party intermediary, we cannot guarantee that a member will not cancel a reservation. This has never happened to the rental club, but it could. To prevent this, we hold your full payment in escrow until your scheduled check-in day. Keeping the funds in our escrow account allows us the discretion to disperse the funds appropriately. In the event that a cancellation occurs, the renter would be able to see this on their MDE account and contact us immediately. The DVC Rental Club would work tirelessly to remedy the problem and re-secure the reservation. We retain a bank of our own points specifically for this scenario.
For more information regarding member cancellations, see our Refund Policy.
However, please note that your reservation is only protected against an unauthorized cancellation that is made by the DVC Member. Your reservation is not protected in the event of a disaster, weather event, pandemic or other unforeseen circumstance. This is the reason we recommend purchasing private travel insurance.
The DVC reservation system is complex and constantly changing. Members make reservations daily, but there are also cancellations. We always recommend submitting your Custom Request as soon as possible. As per DVC rules, members can book as far out as 11 months at their (deeded) home resort, and up to 7 months at other DVC Resorts.
No, renters will need to create an account and complete the Custom Request form. Once a member claims this request, the member has a limited amount of time, typically {3 hours} to check availability and respond to the renter. If they are unable to do so in a timely manner, they will be timed out and the request will go back on the top of the listing page.
Yes, once the member has completed the reservation process, they will receive a confirmation number. When you sign your agreement, you will see the details of your vacation along with your confirmation number. We suggest you login to disney.go.com , select the My Disney Experience profile page and link your new reservation to your profile.

Please note, Disney Grand Californian resort uses a different system and online check in is not available.

Reservations at Disney Aulani Resort & Spa in Ko Olina Hawaii, can be viewed, and the online check in is available within 10-days of your travel date.
Please confirm that the names on your rental agreement with the DVC Rental Club match the names of all members of your vacation party attached to your "My Disney Experience" profile. Do not attempt to link your DVC resort accommodations with any dining reservations unless you are sure your profile information is an exact match.
  • Login to your account with the DVC Rental Club and select the chat button to send your request to the member to inquire about any changes.
  • Email us with your request as soon as possible. If there are any changes or additions needed to your reservation (adding another guest, updating address information) we request notification at least 30 days prior to your check in date as we require the lead time to reach the Owner.
No, a one-night stay is allowed.
Yes, the purpose of the point system is to level off the demand for each resort by increasing the nightly point cost during the busier times of year and reducing the costs during the less busy times. We encourage families to make their reservations as early as possible. Naturally, there is less availability the closer to your desired check-in date.
The Member who claims your request will attempt to secure a reservation based on your request. If they are unsuccessful, they may reply back to you with an alternate for you to consider. If the member does not respond, your request will time out and be sent to the top of the listings page available for another member to claim.
